NYS has just set up a new method of reporting unemployment fraud due to identity theft. As soon as possible and as a victim of identity theft -NYS unemployment fraud, you should file on line as follows: “It is the most efficient way to report ID theft. Please complete the online reporting form at on.ny.gov/uifraud. No further action needs to be taken once the form is completed and submitted by the employee. Employees might still receive correspondence which may even include a bank card. Those letters can be ignored and the bank card can be shredded.”
